What to write about

You found an error

A figure that disagrees with an authoritative source is a bug, not a difference of opinion. Tell us which page and which value, and we will check it against the primary standard and fix it the same day if you are right.

You want a converter we don't have

We keep the scope tight on purpose, but if there is a feet-or-miles conversion people genuinely need and we have missed it, we would like to know what it is and what you are using it for.

You have a methodology question

Which foot we use, how we round, why the precision caps at ten decimal places — the answers are on the methodology page, but if something there is unclear that is worth fixing too.

Before you write

Going the other way, miles to feet does the reverse conversion. If you want a figure already worked out, conversion chart lists the common ones, and about & methodology documents every constant used here and where it comes from.

Most questions are already answered. The FAQ hub covers every conversion question we get asked, and the methodology page documents every constant and its source.

If you are wondering why a distance between two cities is not on this site: searches for “Ft Lauderdale to Key West” read ‘Ft’ as the city rather than the unit. That is a city-distance tool, which is a different product, and we have left it out deliberately.
